Embedded Software Architect - Storage Applications: Intelligent Technology Solutions
We are seeking a Embedded Software Architect - Storage Applications for our Vancouver based client
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Specification, Architecture and design of storage software solutions, from embedded firmware for SoCs to host storage management solutions. - Technical lead teams in firmware dev and host software - Optimize system performance QUALIFICATIONS: - BS or better in CS, CE or EE - 10+ years of software/firmware system development for real-time streaming media systems, or comparable storage experience - 3+ years in a technical leadership position with architecture design responsibility - Detailed working knowledge of software and/or firmware design and implementation. - Demonstrated ability to conceive, design, implement and document complex storage systems. - Proficient programmer in C and assembly(preferably for embedded devices) - Knowledge of RTOS constructs including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, memory management. - Excellent communication skills - Willingness to set and meet deadlines. - Highly motivated, sets personal goals, and achieves goals without supervision - Demonstrated ability to complete software product development (through commercial release) - Capable of working with customers and technology partners in architecture development DESIRABLE: - Experience in storage protocol development such as SCSI, Fiber-Channel, SAS/SATA, RAID and/or enclosure management - Experience with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures - Have implemented RAID protection algorithms - Knowledge of OS driver architectures in Windows/Linux      |
