We are looking for a Web Quality Assurance Engineer to assist in the ongoing testing of our Web properties and applications. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge e-commerce sites and test the performance of Web applications used by hundreds of thousands of Canadian consumers. The ideal candidate is highly-motivated and passionate, and is looking for a challenge in a company focused on online growth. You must be a self-starter, and be able to work independently with a "can-do" attitude. Responsibilities: - Design and develop new test automation applications and scripts, using JavaScript,Perl and C++. - Execute tests. - Enter bugs into the Bug Database. - Verify bug fixes. - Participate in product specification document reviews and code reviews. - Assist end-to-end testing of our Web properties before each release - Help develop test plans - Assist in creating test cases based on business and functional requirements - Work in close collaboration with development team to translate functional and non-functional requirements into use cases Qualifications: - At least 5 years experience testing Web sites - Strong analytical and organizational skills focusing on QA test process - Java programming experience - Automation experience would be preferred - Self-starter attitude with strong independent work habits - Desire for a fast-paced work environment and changing priorities - Detailed and accurate - Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills - Strength in collaborating with business analysts and development staff - Understanding of Web development life cycle - Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent degree, or equivalent industry experience - French skills would be an asset |
