Job Description:

SHI is seeking a Cisco Engineer who is an expert in Voice and Data who also has the Business Development savvy to speak with customers. SHI is a leading provider of IT Solutions and Services globally

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidate must have a minimum 3 years of experience working with Cisco Voice Technologies
  • Must have CCIE (CCIE Voice is a huge plus and/or CCVP)

· Solid Cisco Voice Skills (Call Manager, Unity, UCCX, IPCC Express, etc.)

  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x
  • Strong written and communication skills including creating conceptual diagrams in MS Visio
  • Understanding of the solution life cycle from inception to operation
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform troubleshooting in complex environments
  • Basic understanding of WAN technologies including ATM, Frame-relay, MPLS-IP/VPN, and IPSec tunnels
  • Strong understanding of QoS concepts and implementations at Layer 2 and Layer 3
  • Have a history of working unsupervised while achieving required goals
  • Must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and willing to learn new skills
  • Knowledge of network engagement methodologies
  • Network and Systems Management knowledge

Responsibilities:

· Work with a sales team to identify, gather requirements for solutions, and draft proposals

· Provide pre-sales support to Account Executives, and Service Executives

· Design solutions and plan implementations with the sales team and customer

· Translate business needs into technology specifications

· Serve as a technical authority for voice and video related technologies

· Configure hardware and software in support of solution deployments

· Provide technical mentoring and development to other team members

· Stay current with new technologies and innovations and recommend adoption of new technologies

· Maintain certifications relevant to job role and as required by Cisco partnership requirements

· Perform technical presentations, scope(s) of work, Bill(s) of Material for customers, partners and prospects.

· Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.

· Analyze needs of the Sales team and create supporting documentation or tools to better equip the team in the sales
