B. JOB DUTIES:
1. Assist in developing cost estimates to manufacture new or changes to products and make recommendations for more efficient processing.
2. Identify and manage capital, pre-production expenses and operator skills required to implement process improvement projects.
3. Develop controls and procedures for process equipment.
4. Assist in developing process failure mode effects analyses, control plans and process flows on all products.
5. Provide engineering assistance and direction to relevant department in all aspects of process issues.
6. Establish and maintain cost effective preventive maintenance procedures.
7. Check that all processes comply with health and safety, environmental and other relevant legislative requirements.
8. Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and equipment suppliers.
9. Contribute to the company’s continuous quality improvement and cost reduction programs.
10. Contribute to company productivity by performing temporary assignments as required, given adequate safety and operational instructions.

Honours Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Computer Engineering
2-5 years of related manufacturing or equipment controls design experience.
General background in electrical controls, motion control, Industrial Data Communication and PC-based Industrial Control.

Computer skills with emphasis on AutoCAD S/W, Database S/W and Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
