Duties:
-Promotes and sells company products in the assigned territory by calling
on Specifiers (Engineers, Architects, Designers etc.), End Users,
Distributors and Contractors.
-Provides lighting application calculations to aid his/her customers in
obtaining the best lighting solutions.
-Is responsible to continually understanding his/her customer lighting
needs and his/her competition strengths and weakness.
-Provides input to management to aid in the development of sales and
market share forecasts.
-Develops specific sales strategies necessary to meet the performance
objectives established for assigned products and markets.
-Develops and implements sales action plans to meet specific objectives
and strategies using the sales planning tool.
-Revises and updates sales strategies as significant changes occur in the
territory.
-Has regular contact with customers and potential customers in assigned
-territory to promote the sale of product and/or services.
Handles instances of customers concerns fairly, promptly and
effectively, and recommend adjustments to customers.
-Cooperates with the credit department in obtaining customer credit
information and aid in collecting delinquent accounts.
-Keeps VP Sales & Marketing abreast of all priority issues as required.
Recommends develops and conducts customer and distributor sales meetings
and training programs to inform them of product and market data, user
benefits and advertising and promotional programs.
-Works with management to provide feedback to marketing groups and
services, changes in competitive policies and strategies relating to
products and markets, channels of distributions, advertising and
promotion, pricing and sales activities.
-Cooperates with advertising and marketing departments in evaluating the
effectiveness advertising programs and sales aids.
-Prepares and issues reports as required by management.
-Develops territorial sales forecasts by product line, markets and major
customers.
-Sells all products at the highest possible price utilizing the perceived
value concept and it certain that all requests for price deviations to
meet competitive situations comply with legal and corporate
requirements.
-Provides continual updating of changes in competitive pricing strategies
and tactics within the assigned territory.
-Complies with published bulletins relating to relations with
competitors, antitrust policy and such other legal bulletins as may
require implantation so that all sales of products may be accomplished
in accordance with applicable legal and corporate standards.
