Engineering Technologist Engineering Technologist
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will support Electronic Design Engineers and maintain the daily operation of a video lab.
Responsibilities:
Schematics capture design using ORCAD.
Layout design using PADS PCB.
Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years experience in designing, assembling, prototyping and debugging electronic circuits.

Experience in designing small electronic circuits and PCBs with the ability to take on independent projects.

Well versed in the use of lab equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, video test generators, video and RF signal routers, amplifiers and bench power supplies

Experience with sourcing, substituting and purchasing of electronics components.

Experience with generating cost effective BOMs (Bill of Materials) for a PCB, and doing component trade-offs in a BOM.

Hands on de-bugging skills like soldering SMT and through hole components (ICs, sockets, passives), making cables assemblies and debugging cable designs.

Setting up Video Product Demos and organizing Lab equipment, supplies and activities.

Board and system testing for prototypes and mature products.

Bachelor of Technology degree or equivalent. |
