IT Data Warehouse Business Analyst: Informatica Corporation

Informatica is looking for an energetic IT business analyst to join the highly motivated team of professionals in delivering quality solutions to support our Finance and HR data warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive business relationships throughout the business community and IT, consistently demonstrating a thorough understanding of the customer's business, their processes, and their priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Providing functional support for the existing data warehouse

· Driving the design, build, testing, production and post-production phases of the system

· Partnering with your user community to identify their business requirements, produce functional specifications and design documents, and assist with the implementation of those specifications

· Developing, documenting and performing system, integration, and user acceptance tests

· Analyzing existing business processes, identifying areas for process improvement, and guiding the business in the establishment of effective and efficient business practices

· Providing functional and technical support to business and IT customers, for existing and future IT data warehouse and business intelligence systems

· Maintaining leading edge knowledge of industry and technology trends, to effectively assess and recommend options to the business and IT customers

· Participating in IT application projects, including cross-functional projects serving as the data warehouse business analyst

Job Qualifications

· A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience working on data warehouse projects involving multiple subject areas

· Demonstrated experience with SQL and business intelligent reporting tools

· Experience working with a global team on implementation projects

· A minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience and knowledge of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, use case development, and test plans development and execution

· Demonstrated experience writing design specifications

· Strong inter-personal skills, written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills

· Demonstrated experience supporting and troubleshooting a variety of packaged and in-house developed data warehousing systems

· Demonstrated working knowledge of various business process and system modeling tools including: Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, and Use Case Scenarios

· A four year degree in Business, Computer Science, or an equivalent

· Experience working with Siebel and/or PeopleSoft, preferred

· Experience working with budgeting and planning reporting tools a plus
