We are seeking a Project Procurement Manager who will participate as a member of a cross-functional project team supporting Engineering, Construction, and Business functions. They will actively participate in applicable phases to maximize commercial opportunities in support of project business drivers. They will work with Project Business Managers and coordinate with Engineering and Construction Managers to develop and implement equipment, material and services sourcing alternatives, strategies and tactics.

Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Integrating company, partner and/or contractor leveraged agreements into project strategy
  • Developing and managing the procurement portion of the Project Execution Plan (PEP)

Developing project Approved Supplier Lists in consultation with the project team, EP contractor, SBU

  • materials management organization, Global Procurement organizations and Company technical experts
  • Developing and managing logistical plans to obtain material and equipment cost estimates to support project cost estimates
  • Developing and maintaining schedules for timely project completion, including all materials and services and EPC procurement
  • Developing and maintaining material and equipment procured directly by the company or by the EP contractor on behalf of Company
  • Developing the procurement portion of EP, EPC and/or Construction RFP’s, and participating in proposal evaluations and negotiation strategy development
  • Developing and managing processes to ensure contractors who are providing material and equipment do so in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Providing project-to-be operations material management coordination and integration including standardization, spare parts, inventory and surplus management planning
  • Establishing a good working relationship with EPC contractor
  • Liaising among project, contractor and SBU to facilitate movement of goods, warehousing and minimization of surplus
  • Monitoring EPC schedules, submittals and deliveries, related to material and equipment
  • Participating as required, in contractor related change order negotiations

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 15-25 years experience in procurement
  • Self-initiative and strong sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills
