We encourage you to further your education by participating in Professional and Career Education Program (PACE), which combines classroom education with work experiences and reimburses a portion of your educational expenses. Retail Leadership Development Program (RLD) Our award-winning Retail Leadership Development Program has two phases. In the first 21 weeks you will receive coaching from an experienced store manager, attend workshops, take Web-based training and work in each major department at a training store. A Training Manager will teach you how to analyze sales, service and profits. In the second 18-month phase you will actively work as either an Assistant Store Manager or Co-Manager, applying the knowledge and experience you gained during the first phase.
Supply Operations Associate Supervisor Management Trainee Program You will hold a leadership position on a Plant Manufacturing Team responsible for production and quality control of Safeway merchandise. The plant manager will mentor you on all facets of the business. Your responsibilities will include the hiring and managing of employees. After a successful training period of 12-18 months, you will be promoted to Production Supervisor. In this role you will oversee production lines, driving increased efficiency and quality as part of our corporate mission of world-class initiatives.
