THERE IS INJUSTICE IN THE WORLD
Can I be a sales representative without a business degree?
Asked by THERE IS INJUSTICE IN THE WORLD
I'm a senior in chemical engineering and can't find a job so I'm thinking about looking in sales. I have a psych minor. Do you think I could be hired? What courses should I take to help? Where can I find a job to give me some sales experience? Please tell me everything you can about the field. Thanks

Best Answer:
Yes. You just need a dynamic personality.

A degree has nothing to do with being a good salesman. If you wanna sell, first you have to have the gift of gab. If you don't, then you must KNOW and LOVE the product you are selling. If you don't believe it, no one will. When I hire sales guys for my company, never it crosses my mind to ask about their education. Their personality, eagerness to work hard, and willingness to learn about the product is what interests me.
