Requirements for becoming a postal worker?

I am considering applying to be a postal worker and am wondering about the requirements. Someone mentioned that they give you a physical, so I am wondering if you have to be within a certain weight range? I am an active, healthy person but like many others I do have a few extra pounds. so does this mean they will no consider me, does anyone know?

i worked for postal service in northern district in illinois, you go and fill out tons of paper work, finger prints, background checks,drug tested on the spot, but be prepared for no work, after 2 mths at local po, they let all temps/casuals go do to no mail and cutbacks
