You cant legally work for a business until your 14, however, you can babysit for relatives or neighbors, clean house for rel. or neigh., mow lawns, or if a family member owns a business, you can legally work for them. Maybe you can ask your parents if you can work around the house for extra money? Depending on where you live, you could probably find lots of neighborhood jobs! Good luck!

A:
That's still a little young for babysitting. I would still have a Sitter for my 11 year old. At 11, a child should really be enjoying the last few years he/she has as a child! What is the need for work? I'd imagine raking leaves, or mowing lawns would be a possibility... not much more than that. Working at 11 is setting a foundation for growing up way too fast. Legally you can't even get a work permit at that age.

well sweetie most of the jobs out there arent open for voluntary work and if they were like i said it would be voluntary it would probably be an animal shelter or there could be family that paid you or i reccomend that you start to baby-sit

11-year-old babysit? hmm. i wouldn't trust an 11 year old to babysit. Maybe while i'm in the shower or something. It's funny how parents are making their children find summer jobs so young. I have a 9-year-old, I'm trying to find her a money making chore! lol Economy! bake cookies and sell them or make bracelets and sell them to the neighbor ( i did this when i was 13. made about 10 bucks a day but i was happy! lol)
