When you complete your accounting degree can you go out and become an accountant?

When you have finished can you go out and become a straight accountant or do you have to work your way up?

yeah, staff account, jr accountant, etc.
or other positions like analyst too.

You can be whatever you want, what you can't do is sign an audit report. To do that, you need to get certificated/ registered as Certified Public Accountant. I myself have step in the ladder of the finance & accounting function in the company I work with. I'm in senior finance & accounting position now.
