How hard is it to find a job in Graphic design/media production in Canberra/Australia?

I was thinking changing course because my current IT course is boring, I realised I took the wrong course and now I am thinking of changing course. I do care a bit about the money as I am engaged, so I am just asking here to see whether it is easy to get a job in that field. I have good skill in photoshop editing, lightroom, 3d modelling, Photography, so I think it would be a good field to go onto.

I know a few people in the graphic design field and from what I understand work is not easy to get in that field. I know the defence force was looking to take people on in that field in the Canberra area. Other than that I believe Melbourne is the place to go.
