I want to be a Dental Assistant?
Asked by Scott R
I'm 21 years old and would really like to be a dental assistant. I have not been to college and have no training in anything in the medical field. What type of classes would I need? What would be my first step to becoming a dental assistant?

Try and stay away from the "for profit" schools and instead look in to community colleges. They are less expensive and the education is generally looked upon as more favorable to employers. Start on line and see where your closest program is and then make an appointment with a counselor. It is usually a one year (two semester) program with minimal, if any pre-requisite classes. good luck
