R U an Assistant Manager @ a Retail Store? OR do u know the real salary of one?

I am thinking about changing my line of work and Im thinking that if the start salary for an assistant mng. is over 30K it woul not be that bad. Please I would love to hear suggestions before going thru the process of hunting. thank you

My daughter is an Asst. Gen. Man. at a Super Walmart. Her starting salary was 45,000. She is lucky to have a Manger who treats his people well and considers their life in the scheduling of hours.

I worked as a Asst manager for Aeropostale in PA. I made 28,540.00 in 2002. I had no expierience. The line of work is a pain in the butt.. and if you have a family at home i would strongly suggest not doing it. Retail is like the military... Family comes last... that is why I didnt stay with it....!!! Hope this helps!

I work as an assistant manager at Plato's Closet and it is hourly. Anything past 40 hrs is time and a half
