Husband served 5 years in USAF as Electrician, what's required to work as civilian electrician?

My husband is separating from the US Air Force in a few weeks after serving 5 years doing electrical & environmental. We're stationed in SC and moving to Massachusetts once he gets out. What is he required to do in order to work as an electrician in Massachusetts?

It depends on the job. There are no set requirements. If he knows the job, then he is qualified. Its not like he is applying to be a something that takes any real education
