What is a good career to go into...?
Asked by ksand08
I am a nursing major right now, but i am afraid i am going to struggle to much to continue that major. I also work at an Attorneys office and i am starting to get trained on accounting, so i was thinking of changing my major to that, but i am getting discouraged about that as well. Any suggestions?

You need to do what your heart tells you. I think either career would be a good choice for someone that enjoys it. If you don't, it's time to reevaluate.

3 things that will always be needed in the world computer programmers nurses and accountants So any of those three and you will be set ;) Also you choose something that is going to allow you to work happily in that field and not have you view it as a CHORE. Because you know you want to be happy!

stick with nursing - get a tutor if you have too - but there's a reason why you chose it in the first place, so just because it's a struggle isn't a good enough reason to can it. the things worth most in life are often a struggle. look into nurse anesthetist

A:
Both are good careers and both majors are equally difficult. However, nurses average starting salary is a bit higher than an accountant's but an accountant has potential to go much higher than the nurse's salary cap.

don't get discouraged! there will always be bumps along the way, the trick is to keep going. no one says you can't do both, choose the one you enjoy more. if that ever gets boring you got experience to fall back on the other.

Which career would give you greater fulfillment? All majors are difficult in one way or another. I have nurses in the family and they rave about the career. I'm studying to be an accountant. It's hard but I enjoy it. I think you should focus on the career that you would love. It's going to be hard work no matter what you do. It will be easier to bear if you really like it and are interested in it.

Get a part in a soap opera playing a nurse who secretly want to be an accountant but cannot deny her desire for the garbageman Cletus. I do not know what to tell you. Become a veterinarian. Animals are usually kinder than people.

Yahoo just posted an article on their homepage about the 10 best careers with flexible hours. I'm a nurse and the article said that we are safe from the recession for at least 3 decades. Cool! But if you really want to make the change, accounting and paralegal, both of which you mentioned, made the list too. Here's the link:

have you look into medical transcripnist, you work out of your home and depending on how many account s you can pick up you could make a killing at home doing this work, which you are accustom to paper work and you already have some medical traning, perfect fit for you, look into it and the classes are really short and very easy to take.

Accounting is a good place to be, there is alot of money to be earned there too and if you enjoy it I would reccomend you to continue with your Major. However, if you don't enjoy it you should carry on at the Attorneys Office and have a good think about what you want to do in the future. What do you enjoy? What are you best at? The only person how can decide what career to go into is you.

do a nursing major with an accounting minor , or the other way around.keep in mind accountants stay under wraps most of the time wile nurses run around all day interacting with and helping people. Ask your self what you'd like better in the long run and if its nursing stick with it!!!! If not switch it up. I wanted to do accounting but i hate numbers ...now im going into a nursing in the fall. Good luck.
