Which is the best work from home company to work for?

I am a stay at home mom and i am trying to figure out how to make am income from home. I am not sure which company is the best to go with or if it is worth working for any of those companies. Please let me know what you think or what you know about any of these types of jobs.

The best way that I have found to be free during the day is a company called Pure Romance. We are an in home party plan that caters to women. I get to make a full time income on just 6 hours a week (3 hours away from home, 1 night per week), but you can work more or less depending on your needs. Most of the ads you see about working from home such as stuffing envelopes are just out to get your money. They offer you nothing you couldn't do on your own if you tried. But, that would a lot of work. There also many scams that you can get really ripped off on. One of them is bring a middle man for passing on payments to second parties. You receive what look like cashiers checks and are told to deposit them in your account and then send money to various people either by wire or by cashiers checks. Whatever is left over is for you to keep. The problem with this scheme is the cashiers checks you receive are phony so you would be left holding the bag for the entire amount of the checks. Do your self a favor; if the deal sounds to good to be true, it usually is. One more thought, how can you win a lottery in which you never bought a ticket.

I looked at some of your other "answers", all I can say "Don't believe the HYPE!" Picture this, Wal-Mart is very successful business, right? If you walked into a Wal-Mart and Sam Walton (R.I.P.) was still the owner, and he walked up and said "Here, have my business, for FREE, in fact I'll do all the work, you just get paid!" What would you think? On 2nd thought, scratch that, since it would NEVER happen! A successful income on line takes "work", it's not the same as say a warehouse job, but it still take your time, effort, and yes even some money. First and foremost, everyone will tell you that their company or business is the best; when in fact they themselves don't understand truly how their company or the network marketing industry works and operates. Just like anything else, when you want to know something, the best source is one that makes the most sense and it comes from someone with a proven track record who has actually achieved top level success in network marketing. Spill-over, recruiting or 2up programs are programs you should run away from fast. They are illegal pyramid schemes. Don't be fooled! When 90% of the money being paid comes from recruiting new people, it's illegal. When a company's or program's pay plan works where if recruiting stops so does your income, it's an illegal pyramid scheme. It's just that simple. I've been involved in network marketing for over 18 years. I haven't experienced much success and I've seen just about everything. When you've seen what I've seen, once you receive the truth, believe me, you won't have to ask anyone anyhting about network marketing.

I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

The best place to check out what its like to work with some of these companies is http://www.wahm.com Visit the telecommuting mom's message board to network with other home workers and get advice and information about companies.
Also, go to http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site that has a directory of legitimate companies that hire home workers. Depending on your skills and experience, you should find some good leads there.

I work from home. I have two children, both in school, but I want to still be here for them when they get home - and go on field trips, etc.
I actually stumbled upon my solution. I was researching how to make money on the internet several years ago and came across a site that said I could create my own website based on my knowledge and/or passion and share what I know with others. Since I didn't know anything about creating a web site, I was kind of nervous, but the site said I didn't have to know anything about html. The software would do that for me.
Well, it worked. Here I am, 2 and a half years later and my site now has over 160 pages and the ads on the site bring in anywhere from $900 - $1050 per month. I also sell an ebook on my site, but that doesn't bring in a whole lot - maybe $50 - $100 per month.

You are getting a lot of information on different MLM companies and I don't know if that is really what you are looking for or if it is a JOB where you get paid a set amount per hour or job.

I strongly urge you to look towards a Network Marketing company. I know people from and say it is a pyramid scheme and so forth, but if it is then how come so many reputable people make a profit each year? You also have to look at your interests. It is much easier to get involved in something you are passionate about. You also have to be careful of the company you are dealing with. Unfortunately, this industry has gotten a bad reputation from some many unethical people. Follow your heart and it will come to you. If you need advice or an opinion let me know. I can also point you towards some good reading material and some site to check up on companies.

You are probably receiving a lot of information about possible work from home jobs. I have been in your shoes and have spent many hours online researching and trying to find the right one. The one thing that I ended up figuring out is that there are no true work from home "jobs." In a work from home job you usually start out working for a company and then for whatever reason, sometimes, the company will let you take your job home; thus work from home job. I would never pay a company to work from home.
However, there are many work from home “opportunities.” These opportunities provide you with the vehicle to work from home and build your own business. The difficult or frustrating part about finding the right opportunity is that there are many offers that are not legitimate, but scams. Theses scams make it difficult for the companies that truly offer a legitimate opportunity to work from home. Usually, work from home opportunities have a small investment to start your own business. These are okay as long as they are around $100, anything much more than that and I would stay away. Also if they require a monthly overhead to run the business it should include things like your websites, training, back office system, and support. Remember any business that you start and want to continue will always have start up costs and monthly expenses, if it doesn't then it is probably not a legit business.
I am a stay at home mother of 2 (ages 4 and 2). My husband works 6 days a week and I do not have much help in the area of child care for my children. On my journey to finding the right work from home opportunity I tried everything from selling vitamins, lotions and many other product based companies. I also looked into processing information online. What I realized with all these companies is that I usually put more money back into my business and ended up with lots of product I really did not need. I also was very skeptical of some of those online work from home websites that really never got to the point of what I would be doing to earn income.
Finally, I was given information on a legitimate work from home company. At first I was very skeptical and paid no attention to the information. Then one day my mother needed to have some dental work done but had no insurance. I remembered that I had some information on discount dental plans. Once I researched the information I had been given, I realized that I could provide my mother with a way to pay less for her procedure and earn an income for signing her onto the discount dental plan. I have been with the company since and am on the fast track toward building a six figure income.
I work 15 hours a week (give or take a few) for a National Discount Medical Benefits Company. The company has been in business for over 16 years and is continuing to expand!
