I worked at the Hyatt in Chicago, and when I started it was about $9 per hour. That was 11 years ago and I think they are starting at $12 now, BUT Chicago is a convention town and the Hyatt is a high priced hotel. Where I live now the closest thing to a hotel is an Comfort Inn and Suites and they are paying about $7.50. Take stock of your location and go after a job at the largest and/or busiest hotel in your area.

A:
$12/hour

Depends on the city/state. They're not all going to be the same. WHOA! Case in point - the first answer you got? They wouldn't get ANYthing like that around here!

$12 a hour so for about the 8 hour working sesion you would get 96$ a day which is about $500 a week if you work 5 days a week!

It depends on the hotel and what chain it is. I've worked in hotels for over 5 years and the first front office position I started with, I was being paid $8.50/hour. I now work for a larger hotel and get paid $12 an hour.

A:
It is not a salaried position so you might not find it on Salary.com. It is a low paying hourly job as are most retail /hospitality jobs. $7-15.00 per hour dependingon location and longjevity.
