You need to be good at 'Man management'. You need to have an interest in 'personnel' development. You need to be a skilled administrator. You need to know something about the legislation governing the industry you are interested in joining. You sometimes have to 'wield the iron rod'. Good luck

you need to be a hard @ss... be able to discipline people and know your stuff about employment law / human rights etc. good luck!
