DO you need experience/certain qualifications to work in a pet store?

i.e. Do you need to have worked with animals professionally before? P.S. Can you ring up a pet store and ask for a job even though they are not advertising any vacnacies?

To your first question, probably not, although having some prior pet owning experience would probably be helpful. Someone who has worked with pets "professionally" before would probably opt for a better job than cashier at Petsmart. Sure you can call them up. They might not take your application, but you aren't going to get arrested for it. Worst that happens is they say "sorry".
