Job Resume help please!?
Asked by Stephanie
I am not great at writing a resume whatsoever. The time I was going to college I only worked summer jobs and I think that when employers look at my resume it looks like I cant keep a job. I will just make a list...... *How do I put on my resume that I PRACTICED taking blood pressures *Is it true that you can put on your resume that the period that I didnt work, I was taking care of my child? ( a teacher told me that but it doesnt sound right) *I did a lot of side jobs but people dont respect it because it wasnt through and agency. Is there a way around that? Should I just not put that on my resume? Thank you for reading my question!

List "relevant skills and experience" and mention that you are able to obtain patient vital signs (i.e. blood pressure, count pulse, temperature, and count respirations), or just simply list your ability to obtain a blood pressure. You can also list the skills you gained through your side jobs such as, organization, teamwork, etc. Provide information about your course work and degree, of course. When listing your previous job experience, make a subtitle stating "periods of unemployment due to completing college course work and personal child care" though I'm not sure that this is really necessary to add. Look online for sample resumes, or check templates on Microsoft Office.
just revised my resume, as well

As an employer I really didn't focus on the work someone did in college, but rather the coursework and the grades. I don't think you need to be to concerned about it. If anything list the summer work experience and identify it as such. Hopefully, you might have a reference or two from that time. But other than that, let your resume focus on your time in college - not the odd jobs. Good luck with your job hunt.

You can see the keywords and how effectively they are used in resumes. For Instance You can visit any website offering sample resumes Like http://www.sampleresumes.in which claims to offer sample resumes. The main thing is to know your profession and see what keywords are being searched, Also look for lot many jobs and see what they are asking for
