How old do you have to be to be a CNA in Florida?
Asked by DanielleK
I am seventeen. I have my GED and I'm going to college right now for Nursing. I was thinking that while I was in school for Nursing I could work as a CNA, but I'm not sure if you have to be eighteen, or if because I have a GED it matters at all.

Best Answer:
Under Florida statutes you cannot be licensed as a CNA until you are18 years old or older.

A:
You are old enough. The only age restriction I have ever seen is you must be 16+. You likely won't be able to get hospital work until you are 18 though.
