im interested in careers that help people.
helping people is great....you get paid for it...and you feel better about yourself!!
what other options are their besides teacher,nurse, doctor, psychologist, and child care?

Why are you ruling out education, caregiving and medical ! Aside from these it's hard to think of a career that 'helps' people. Maybe working in a tourist information center,a travel consultant, or on a 'helpline' somewhere ?

If you don't already have a degree. Go to school for Public Administration. I would suggest going into law enforcement or the fire department. That's if you don't mind the physical demands. If not, you can volunteer with various organizations like a local homeless shelter, etc.
