Go to the mall and go to the information booth. See if there are any positions available as security guard or whether they are accepting applications for security guard. Inquire whether they have a job description. If they are accepting applications, complete one and hand it back to whomever is accepting the applications. BTW, I checked their website: http://www.shopgreatlakescrossing.com/ and no jobs for security guard are posted...

Most states require you to have a security guard license, which involves a criminal background check. If you've never worked as a guard before, I doubt a shopping mall will accept newbies, but you can always submit an application and see what happens. As a newbie guard, its likely they'll start you off at (or just slightly above) minimum wage. On the bright side, its an easy job, even a lot of retired senior citizens go into security guard work. I've never heard of Great Lakes Crossing; Googled it to learn its a shopping mall in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Here's a link that might help
