How come pizza delivery boys get tipped and flower delivery boys doesn't?

I mean you pay for you food? and the flowers they send it to you for free. Have you ever noticed this?

It's because everyone does it...it's expected.
In my opinion
Nobody should be tipped unless they go above and beyond.
If they're extra friendly...

Flower guy, pizza guy, whomever.
Funny since it's tough to take my own advice...
and I still tip most times no matter what.

because if you order a Pizza, they bring it to you. so you should pay for it. But a Flower delivery person is taking them to someone who did not order them. why should they have to pay for something that they did not even order?

good point, but people know they have to take money out of their wallet, and then they remember the tip, but since they don't have to take money out with flwers, they dont remember

if i call to have something delivered to me, then i will tip... but if someone else sends me something i wasn't expecting, then that's a different story

well the flowers are a gift... the food is something you ordered yourself.. .you don't usually think to pay for anything if it's a gift... the giver should pay gratuity beforehand.

When you order a pizza you order it. Most of the time flowers are a gift from someone. Maybe the purchaser of the flowers should add the tip so the flowers are delivered with a smile.

Well, if you're sending flowers to someone as a gift, they shouldn't be expected to pay anything. Florists know this. If you order flowers for yourself, I guess you should tip the delivery person...but who does that?

when you have pizza delivered to your house you are paying for it, therefor you give them a tip. when sending flowers you are sending them to someone so you should give them the tip, not the receiver. i add in a tip when i pay for flowers being sent to someone

In most cases, you are paying for the pizza while its being dropped off, but someone else bough you the flowers. We like to tip ppl who bring us food. And I also think that the flower boy makes more money than the pizza boy.

You should tip any person who is delivering you something! I always tip the flower delivery boy (usually more because I'm always excited to get flowers!)
