put your life on hold?
Asked by steveo
would you take a fun traveling job that pays more but would not take you closer towards any of your personal/life goals (eg citylife, masters, career ambitions, wife, etc). Essentially it would put your life on hold and build up your bank account in another state for a year

Money has never been as important to me as friends and family. I would not suggest leaving your family for a year to just make money.
However, if you're young and haven't really established a home life yet, i.e. don't have a wife or are in a serious relationship -- then travel now for the experience. It will enrich your later life so much more.

it depends on how long?
My sister put her life on hold and went to Columbia, South America for a year.
