do you want to learn a trade as a career? like being an electrician? best way is to go to your local union for the trade you are interested in, and apply for an apprenticeship.
if you want to learn as a construction supervisor/manager, you need construction experience and/or internship and/or courses in construction management.
if you jsut wanted to learn construction techniques in building something small, for your own personal use, just read books and videos.

Best thing is to go to sites and see for yourself. I've worked in construction and there is a vast difference with the perceived and the actual. It's not as glamourous and Ivanka Trump makes it out to be but it is very interesting. All the elements involved is interesting to say the least. Go see for yourself

I've known a lot of women in construction, some of them are tradesperson, architects and engineers.
You have to decide how deep do you want to go. If you decide to go deep and make it a career, then I suggest you take up Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sanitary Engineering or Architecture courses.
If you do want to be a tradesperson, you can start by studying practical electricity, plumbing, etc.
But if you just want to learn construction and do not want to make it a career, books can be of great help to you.
I hope I was able to help you with your question.
