I have hours and hours of downtime and nothing, absolutely nothing, to do. What can I do besides the obvious?

Work on next year's schedule? Organize your client or vendor files? Come up with new marketing material for the new season? Work on a procedure manual for your position or for a subordinate position? Update staff contact lists? Work schedules? Daily/Weekly/Monthly Task lists? Check your work first aid kit & make sure everything is stocked and has no expired expiration dates? You don't say what you do or what type of company you work for - so, it's difficult to give a lot of suggestions. Good Luck!

Depends on where you work. The best thing you can do is to find ways to drum up new business so you won't have so much downtime.

Clean Organize files/closets/desks whatever Come up with ways for the company to save or make more money. Or, start looking for a new job. Can't imagine that your boss is doing so well that they can pay you to do nothing forever.
