A nursing degree only takes two years to get...so no...you're nowhere near too old. Just check out the programs at your local community college. It's most likely only $15 per unit, and you could very well qualify for financial help now...something you probably would not get if you were younger. People 24 and under don't get financial aid without showing their parent's income. Once you pass that age, the financial aid is solely based on your income.
Also, if you have to quit your job or move more then 100 miles to go to a school that offers a nursing program, you will probably qualify for unemployment...which if you inform them you are going to school, they will extend your unemployment an additional 13 weeks, which is just shy of a full semester. So, not only is it better for you because you could qualify for financial aid, but you may be able to qualify for unemployment as well while going to school.
Hope this helps.

I graduated with a diverse group of nurses. The youngest was 20, and the oldest had just turned 50. I would say no. I was 37 when I graduated and there were probably 10 people in my class older than me.
