What are the types of work or jobs available in UAE countries for a basic computer hardware technician?
Asked by Prakash P
Hi my friend is having some basic computer hardware knowledge , recently he got an offer from one of his friend who is working in dubai to work as a hardware technician. He is a graduate and working in a BPO firm. Since he is the only person who takes care of his family and inorder to meet the needs of his family he has joined the BPO firm, but his career interest still lies with computer hardware industry. He is not able to decide whether to move to UAE or not with his basic hardware knowledge. Please advice.

Moving to UAE...Hmm...You better do hell lot of homework with this...as UAE has already hit the list of 25 expensive countries. And many people are running off from that place as the expenses has tripled and road tax. Traffic jams are total nuisance, be it Sharjah, Dubai and off lately Ajman. Abu Dhabi is still considered better than other rest cities in UAE. Not to forget the rent for studio flat is awesome and eats up your half salary, so people go for sharing accomodation. My personal suggestion look at the job scopes and the most important thing your salary (whether it could bear the expenses) and try to get accomodation near to ur work place, it will save you from traffic nuisances and your time. Off lately even the prices for cab has increased so bus is the best options and very soon metro will be coming up. I dont want to freak you up but please do good homework about going to UAE for work.
Lived in UAE for 22 years.

It all depends upon the salary that your friend might be getting in UAE. Let him compare the income in India with
the savings he would make up in UAE.
Basis knowledge may not be enough.
He should have had a full time training in India.
His salary in UAE (Dubai or anywhere else in UAE) should be
over 4000 UAE Dhirams per month.

Life in dubai is expensive so first consider how much salary he would get? Then calculate the estimated amount to live there and for basic needs and than see how much you left to send to your family. Is its good enough than take the risk... no one is PERFECT plus if your friend prove that he is willing to learn and hard working than there will be no prblm
