How would i become a Nurse practitioner after completing my RN?

I was wondering how do you become a NP from being a RN. Do you have to have ur BA in Nursing? Thanks for the info

You have to have a BSN and then complete a MSN-NP program.

Yes, you need either a BAN or BSN. You will also need at least a couple of years of work experience in the field that you want to focus on as a NP, so if you want to be a Pediatric NP, you'll need to work in a peds environment for at least a couple of years before you will get accepted into a graduate school program to earn your Master's degree and be eligible for NP certification.
