Looking for a new job after 25+ years at one company?
Asked by bryantbabe
I have been with a company for 25+ years and was layed off when the company took a new turn. I do not have a college degree but I have skills managing multiple satelite warehouses with hundreds of thousands feet of space all over New England. However, I am having trouble finding a job where I would be making nearly what I was making before. I am willing to take a lower salary, but I am not looking to start at the bottom, where I started 25 years ago. Does anyone have any suggestions? My offical title was Regional Operations Manager, I ran the warehouses, distribution, and traffic for the former owner before he sold the company.

In a bit of the same boat as you. More than likely you won't be able to find anything near the same salary. And the bottom is fairly certain where you will start. Tons of people out there that they can hire "entry" for low wages. You may have to relocate or even go back to school for retraining and a new career.
