I am going to school for Medical Assistant with concentration in Phlebotomy does that mean...........?
Asked by rstittle
Does that mean when im done with school, I will be able to chose my career as being a plebotomist or do I need additional training? Does anyone know how much they make in Indiana?

Best Answer:
Yes you can still be a phlebotomist once you complete medical assistant school. Phlebotomists salary range usually run about 9.80 to 13.50 an hour depending on where you live. You can make a little more working for an agency. However, an agency requires you to hav some experience first.

It means you are getting a "degree" that isn't recognized and doesn't exist. Many hospitals are training their own plebotomists or having CNA's learn the skill, and many are finding themselves unable to find work. Medical Assisting is the biggest scam in the educational industry right now...you'll figure that out when you graduate and try to find a job.
