Don't know about India, but in the U.S. if you are trying to get serious about Computer Science, in any aspect at all, and have a degree in Physics most employers will think you studied the wrong subject all together. Worse yet, it has been my observation that a BS in Physics does not get you very far in the field of Physics. Even a MS is not very good. Different fields seem to have different "pecking orders": if you have a BS in engineering, you are an engineer. In chemistry it seems to take a MS and in Physics a PhD is the key. Good luck.
