I am a real estate agent looking for a new career. Any ideas of corporate jobs involving real estate?

I have excellent clerical skills and some retail management mixed in. I have 5 years experience in real estate but am desperately seeking a structured work environment (housing crash is hurting alot of us). I have explored 3rd party relocation companies and do not want to work in the apartment industry. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Property Asset Management companies are IT right now. REO companies that work for banks, foreclosed properties...that's where it's at and it's gonna continue to be an excellent business for years to come. It's not so much field work, rather sending orders to other agents, managing property progress/lists/sales, etc. Large corps such as First American, IndyMac Bank, First National, the list goes on. I think you'd be satisfied, at least look into it, make some calls & see if it's something you'd be interested in.
I work at a real estate agency & many of our agents work hand-in-hand with these asset managers. They are never short of work & do not have to deal with the "personal" end of the deal, per say. Hope I've helped!!

Good luck, and welcome back to the 9 to 5 grind. Start looking at positions advertised on monster.com or careerbuilder.com, and start submitting your resume. One hurdle you will have to overcome is to convince your prospective employer that you will not leave as soon as the housing market turns back up. Eventually someone will take a chance on you, and then you can always leave when the market does turn back up. They're not going to make you promise and cross your heart to stay forever.

I worked in real estate sales/construction/rental management for about four years when a downturn made me look elsewhere. I went to Law school.
