sales associate?

If I wanted to be a Sales associate at Sears, what kind of stuff would I do? Is it basically just being a cashier? Im thinking of applying for the appliances or home electronics department (thats the only openings) but if I were the sales associate whats everything that type of person does?

you would do everything in that department. i use to work for sears in the home electronics department. no one is a cashier in that department they all take care of their own sales. cause everyone gets paid by the hour and Commissions. what you do is clean the displays stock up all items, play with some electronics and just try to sale the big stuff cause thats were you make your money. its real easy. have fun

As a sales associate, you'd be expected to make a certain dollar amount of sales each month. I don't know what it is for Sears, but you need to check that aspect out. If you aren't comfortable with sales, it's not for you.

It wasn't for me and I don't know to be truthful if all that is required for being a sales associate.
