Asked by kojek
I have a diploma in electronics and all my working life(15 years) has been in the electronics manufacturing industry. recently, my friend has influence me into taking up a degree program in logistics & supply chain management. But i have doubt about getting a job in this field. I am already near to 38 years old and i do not have any experience nor knowleadge in this field. How do i fair in the job market if i get my degree and will age factor and inexperience a disadvantage to me? Is it too late for me to pursue a carrer in this field?

You are right. Stick to your industry. It is not a good idea to change horses in mid-stream. What you can do is keep on studying about your field. There are now online courses and open universities which enable you to work and study at the same time. Peace and blessings!

Play it safe. Write your own resume and include the degree that you will be getting in logistics. Change your name. And set your age according to the time you be getting out of school. Send it over to the companies that you would be applying and check how many grants you interviews. show up for a couple so you can get the whole picture. About salaries, etc. push them hard and well in the interview so you get the info that you need. Then decide.
