Any suggestions on how to become a dental assistant?
Asked by kiki m
Most positions require you to have experience, how do you get that if you cannot get a job?

Best Answer:
usually you do an internship during school when you train to be a dental assistant and that is experience, good schools help you line jobs up, without any of that just try and apply anyways

A:
If I were you, I would get the training needed so that you feel more competent in your skills as the dental assistant to whichever dentist you work for. A lot of county vocational-technical (vo-tech) schools seem to have a program which tends to be less expensive for dental assistant as well as some community colleges. The US Occupational Outlook Handbook has various info on careers and education requirements: www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'dental assistant'.
