What is a telecommunications critical exam and who gives it you?

After pass the typing test, clerical test, and applying for a postion as a 9-1-1 dispatcher I have to pass a telecommunicator critical exam. Dose the police/fire/ ems departments give you traing for this or do you have to know this stuff before getting hired?

Criti-call is a test administered to see if you have a propensity for being a dispatcher/I'm a dispatcher in Mo and have taken the test - read the directions and take the practice tests before each section/go in fresh and well rested you want to be thorough if possible, but quick - they're looking for you to finish in about and hour and a half
