Do you have to go to school to work in a doctor's office at the front desk?

I have experience with filing and reception work because I work at a vet now, but would like to expand my horizons!

Depends on the doctor. If you are good at it or have some experiance doing reception, then no. Sometimes they like you to have some knowledge about medical terminology and good writing skills that school can help for. Good personal skills help too.

Yes you do, you have to take certain business courses as well as medical transcription, how to work multi phone lines, medical terminology as well as medical billing and insurance.
