if you are a fulltime employee, are you legally allowed to call out from work if sick?

also, i dont know if this applies, but are you responsible as a full time employee to find a replacement for you? or does it vary to where you work? i work technical support for a telecommunications company.

There are no laws governing calling in sick. You're employer should have given you some kind of policy briefing or manual that explains the procedures. I've never been required to find my own replacement when sick. Some companies do require proof that you visited a doctor and really are sick.
