Asked by jbean4jc
I want to work in a daycare but it seems like all daycares want you to be GLQ. What is the easiest, fastest, and cheapest way to get GLQ so I can start getting better paying jobs?

You have to take the required 45 hours of course work. Go to your local community college and ask about education/child development classes. The department head or a counselor will tell you which class to take. Depending on the school, the classes are different. After you have successfully completed the class (I believe you need at least a C), then you can ask the department head about getting a Letter of Recognition. You can submit this to your employer. This will give you the qualifications to take over of a large group of school-age children. For younger children (under 5), you need Senior Staff qualifications, which is 90 hours of course work.
