how do I get into Human resources?
Asked by rocio
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and I was thinking about getting into the human resources field. I do not want to go for a Master's degree, It is too expensive and I need money. Do I need a certification, extra courses, help me? BTW, I have no experience. But, that's the way we all started.

You should have no problem with your degree. Also take advantage of tuition reimbursement and let them pay for your masters in occupational psychology. that is what my sis has from columbia. she is working now in wall street! very successful! i hope this helps.

Do some research. Find out who is the head of Human resources in a particular company you think you may like to work for. Mail a cover letter and resume to that person. It may get you considered for a unadvertised position.
