What does it take to get a job in human resources?

I have a Bachelor's degree in English and am thinking that I might enjoy human resources.

You need to have genuine interest in working with people as well as flair for dealing with people issues. If you have that then you may add to it some professional knowledge by way of additional degree or diploma in Human Resource Management. Degree in law also could be advisable if you like industrial relations.

If you are serious take an HR course at your local university and talk to the placement office about an internship with an HR department.
