What are some great careers working with kids other than a teacher?
Asked by ☼shine
Hi. I've been thinking about making a career change. I really love children and would love to work with them. What are some really good jobs out there in which I could work with kids besides becoming a teacher? Thanks so much! :)

If teaching bores you you could try something more specialised, like working with children who have learning disorders. You could also consider being:
- a child psychologist
- a researcher who studies child psychology, nutrition, or development
- a puppeteer
- a face painter
- a singer/songwriter of children's songs
- a children's clothing designer
- a designer of toys or playground equipment
- a pediatrician
- an ear/nose/throat doctor
- a nurse in a children's hospital
- a lawyer that researches and/or advocates children's issues
- a zoologist (animals AND kids!)
- children's book writer

Before you jump into a career change... why not try being a Girl Scout Leader! They are always looking for adults who love working with children. You can educate and plan parties, go on field trips and have fun,all while spending time with great girls!
You will be great in whatever you do as long as you love kids and want to enrich their lives.
Plus being a GS Leader would be great to have on any future resume!
Good luck!
