What do you look for in a retail store when asked to visit one before an interview?
Asked by tae
As a merchandiser, what would you look for in a retail store that will influence your job interview?
For example, pricing tags, shelf space/fixtures, range variety....
Are there any merchandisers out there who can help me with a few more specific details to look for?

i always look for what is affordable to all income levels, mostly aimed at lower income families, do the employees look happy to work there? what are they selling, i like a store that has a variety, furniture ( reasonably priced ), cookware ( can everyone afford something in this area ), clothing at all price ranges, diapers, wipes etc. i think you get the picture.
is there enough room to walk around? is the floors clean, what about the bathroom, that is so imprtant to me if my son had to go to the bathroom would i be scared to let him use it?
i hope this helps some
