What do i need to know to get on a offshore drilling rig.?

I have 6 years on land rigs in canada, and i would like to further my career and try offshore for a change. Just can't seem to get a break. any tips.

Unless you know someone, it's hard, man. My husband just got on after trying for four years, just couldn't find the right people to talk to. I know that Island is hiring right now, don't know any contacts. Here is the link for who my husband got a job through. I believe they are still looking for some more people.
