In this position you would be responsible for making all reservations for events held by your employer. This would include, but not be limited to: Hotel facilities, purchasing tickets, scheduling catering, transportation, airline reservations, decorators, graphics for I.D. stickers, flyers..etc, sceduling of special guests, speakers, hiring audi and/or video people, announcements, and schedule the order of events within the event. it is the planning of events. Events may be something as small as a romantic dinner for a couple to setting up a birthday party. They may also be HUGE events such as recognition ceremonies, weddings, formal receptions, etc. The event planners coordinate the entire event from start to finish: Planning, getting contracts for food, supplies, staffing, etc. I work for an event staffing agency in Chicago and it is a BLAST!!!
